SF-Tuning LTD – Terms & Conditions
Key Points (Read Before Ordering)
- ✅ Wheel spacers are usually required – always check with our free templates before ordering.
- ✅ Warranty only applies when parts are fitted by an SF-Tuning approved installer. Self-installation or non-approved garages void the warranty.
- ✅ Track, racing, or competition use voids warranty.
- ✅ No warranty coverage for brake noise, normal wear, or brake vibration caused by incorrect installation.
- ✅ Do not book fitting until your order has arrived and been checked. We are not responsible for garage/workshop costs due to delays or missing parts.
- ✅ Returns – accepted within 14 days (minus shipping & fees) if unused and in resaleable condition. After 28 days, no returns are accepted.
- ✅ Special-order/custom parts are non-returnable.
- ✅ International customers – VAT not charged, but import taxes/duties are your responsibility.
1. Wheel Fitment
- Most brake kits are designed to fit behind standard and aftermarket wheels; wheel spacers are generally required.
- Customers must check fitment using our free templates prior to installation.
- If spacers cannot be used, do not purchase our kits.
- SF-Tuning is not responsible for clearance issues where templates were not checked.
2. Custom Colours & Logos
- Some calipers are stocked in red, yellow, and black (18Z) as standard.
- Raw calipers can be custom painted; typical turnaround is 3–6 weeks, depending on workload.
- Customisation or modification, including painting, must be approved and done according to SF-Tuning guidelines.
- Modifying parts outside of approved procedures voids any warranty.
3. Warranties
- SF-Tuning warranties apply only when parts are fitted by an SF-Tuning approved installer.
- Brakes are critical safety components and must be installed by an experienced mechanic authorised by SF-Tuning.
- Customers can find approved installers here: SF-Tuning Recommended Installers.
- Self-installation or use of non-approved garages voids all warranties.
Calipers
- Supplied with a 6-month return-to-base (RTB) warranty when installed by an approved installer.
- Buyers are responsible for return and re-delivery postage costs.
- Covers inspection, repair, and testing only. Does not cover labour, garage costs, time off work, or consequential losses.
- Warranty is void if:
- Used on track, racing, drifting, or any competition.
- Unsuitable pads/discs, incorrect bedding-in, or lack of cooling laps cause damage.
- Threads are stripped due to incorrect installation; SF-Tuning will not repair threads for safety reasons. Replacement calipers must be purchased at the customer’s expense.
- Installed incorrectly by a non-approved installer.
- All calipers supplied by SF-Tuning are guaranteed free from thread repairs or pre-existing defects at point of sale.
Discs
- Disc warranties are provided by the manufacturer and remain valid only when fitted by an SF-Tuning approved installer.
- SF-Tuning will liaise with the manufacturer on the customer’s behalf.
- Warranty is void if:
- Installed incorrectly by a non-approved installer.
- Used on track, racing, or competition.
- Drilled discs crack from heavy use (intended for light use only).
- No warranty covers brake noise, normal wear, or brake vibration caused by uneven rotor thickness from incorrect installation.
- For higher performance, grooved or C-hook discs are recommended.
Hoses
- Hose warranties are with the manufacturer, valid only when installed by an approved installer.
- Warranty is void if hoses are damaged due to incorrect installation or misuse.
- SF-Tuning will assist with warranty claims where possible.
General
- No warranty covers track use, misuse, or installation by non-approved mechanics.
- Warranty claims are limited to the repair or replacement of defective parts.
- No compensation for labour, fitting, or associated costs will be provided.
4. Pricing
- All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate (VAT No: GB414129624).
- Prices exclude shipping and installation costs.
- International buyers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and fees.
- Prices may change without notice.
5. Payment
- Accepted methods: Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Debit cards, Bank Transfer, PayPal, and Stripe.
- Full payment details, including billing address, are required for card payments.
- Custom/bespoke orders may require payment via PayPal or bank transfer.
6. Cancellation by SF-Tuning
- SF-Tuning may cancel an order if supply becomes impossible due to manufacturer/supplier issues or circumstances beyond our control.
- Any payment received will be fully refunded.
- SF-Tuning is not liable for any other loss or damage arising from such cancellation.
7. Dispatch & Delivery
- UK orders via Parcelforce 48; Europe via Euro Economy; worldwide via Global Priority.
- Buyers pay all import/customs duties.
- Stock levels are not live-linked to suppliers; if unavailable, SF-Tuning will advise lead times or issue a refund.
- Customers must not book workshop appointments until goods are received and checked. SF-Tuning is not liable for costs from missed appointments.
8. Overseas Orders
- VAT is not charged outside the UK.
- Import duties and fees are the customer’s responsibility.
- Certain countries may require PayPal payment only.
9. Returns
- Returns must be authorised within 7 working days of delivery. Items returned without notice will not be refunded.
- All items must be unused, uninstalled, and in resaleable condition with original packaging.
Correctly Supplied Goods:
- Within 14 days: Full refund minus initial shipping and transaction fees (return postage at buyer’s cost).
- After 14 days: Refund minus 20% handling fee; shipping non-refundable.
- After 28 days: Returns not accepted.
Incorrectly Supplied Goods:
- Within 28 days: Full refund including shipping costs (both ways) if items are in resaleable condition.
- Used, damaged, fitted, or modified items are not eligible for return.
10. Additional Terms
- Damages or shortages must be reported promptly with supporting photos.
- All parts must be test-fitted before painting.
- Exchange units must be serviceable.
- Goods remain the property of SF-Tuning until paid in full.
- No claims for labour costs are accepted.
- No returns accepted after 28 days from delivery.
