SPARE WHEELS FOR BIG BRAKES

A big brake conversion can create one problem that is very easy to overlook: the original spare wheel may no longer fit over the brakes.

Factory emergency wheels are designed around the original braking system. Once significantly larger discs and multi-piston calipers are installed, the spare may physically contact the caliper and become unusable.

For vehicles used for long-distance travel, touring or commercial work, discovering this at the roadside is far from ideal.

SF-Tuning supplies spare wheel solutions intended to provide clearance for selected larger brake conversions, including applications for vehicles such as the VW Transporter.

WHY SF-TUNING?

Spare wheels are another product that came from solving a real problem created by bigger brakes.

We could simply sell the brake conversion and leave the customer to discover later that their factory spare no longer clears it. That's not how we want SF-Tuning to operate.

Developing complete braking solutions means thinking beyond the caliper and disc to how the vehicle will actually be used once the conversion is installed.
