PERFORMANCE BRAKE CALIPERS
Brake calipers are at the heart of any braking system, converting hydraulic pressure into the clamping force that presses the pads against the brake discs. Moving to a larger multi-piston caliper can provide increased pad area, improved pressure distribution and greater thermal capability for more demanding braking applications.

Choosing the right caliper involves far more than finding something that physically bolts to the vehicle. Piston diameter and total piston area, pad dimensions, disc diameter and thickness, mounting position, hydraulic compatibility, wheel clearance and the intended use of the vehicle all need to be considered.
This becomes particularly important with OEM-derived big brake conversions, where a caliper originally engineered for one vehicle is being adapted to work correctly as part of a completely different braking system. The caliper, disc, pad, mounting hardware and vehicle all need to operate together as a complete package.
